Award Selection

The Selection Committee of You Fly Gal will vet all nominations prior to any award being made. Composed solely of pilots, with ratings from Private through CFI and Military Instructor Pilot, the committee will make sure that every recipient has the determination, financial, and community support needed to complete their training. The Selection Committee, Board Members, and Officers of You Fly Gal are all passionate about aviation. They bring years of real-life experience to the task of selecting recipients worthy of being selected. As a 501(c)(3) corporation, contributions to You Fly Gal are tax-deductible.

• You Fly Gal Inc. is a non-profit, charitable corporation holding 501(c)(3) U.S. tax status
• Awards made by You Fly Gal are personally reviewed and approved by You Fly Gal’s Founder and President, Maria Harrison in concert with You Fly Gal’s Selection Committee. All committee members are active pilots who understand the crucial need for a feeling of community and a structured learning syllabus to ensure the continuation and successful completion of a student’s initial aviation training. 
• The accountability of You Fly Gal is totally transparent. We urge you to check out our IRS Form 990, which is filed annually and may easily be accessed online.
